the One Page Wonder
A price-conscious one-page starter website that can grow as your business grows.
But where are all the colors and pictures? Funny you should ask. What you are looking at is a wireframe rendition devoid of all colors and font styles. Think of it as like the framework of a new house. Only after the plywood and sheetrock are installed can you apply your colors and other decor.
The Hero Section
Generally located at the top of a page. It will either have a photo, looping video, or a color background overlayed with a title and a short introduction.
Introductory Content Section
Maybe you are an accountant, lawyer, real estate agent, or engineer who has decided to hang out your shingle and is looking to establish a web presence. A one-page website may just fit the bill until your business starts to grow.
If this is a one-page website, why is there a menu at the top of the page? A menu item can point at more than a page, it can point at a specific area of a page or even external pages.
When would a one-page website not be the best solution? If you have a lot of content that would result in an extremely long page requiring a lot of scrolling to traverse the page. If that’s the case then adding an additional page or pages would be an option.
What’s with all the Lorem ipsum dolor stuff? That’s just Latin filler text and was originally used in the print industry.
